Giving Back To Our Community

As Santa Barbara County locals, we’ve experienced the value of a community that supports one another through thick and thin. Throughout the 15 years we’ve been in service, Matt Shaw Concrete has sought out ways to give back to our incredible corner of the central coast.

Girsh Park and Dos Pueblos LIttle League

Girsh Park’s mission is to provide all community members with accessible, high-quality park & recreational facilities in a safe environment. As a home base for Dos Pueblos Little League, the park has become an important location for countless families in Goleta.

After the Little League’s shed was vandalized and burned down, the organization reached out to our team to see how we could help. With sons who regularly play baseball and soccer at Girsh, the park is especially meaningful to Matt. He believes everyone in our community should have access to excellent sports amenities, so a comprehensive renovation began.

The Renovation

A secure structure begins with a solid foundation, so our team poured two slabs with radius ramps for the two new sheds. We updated six new bullpens with pitching mounds and home plates designed large enough to accommodate various levels of play. We were excited to meet the League’s budget, offering donated work and heavily discounted rates for the betterment of our community.

The Meaning Behind OUr Work

We are proud to serve Santa Barbara County, and we are grateful for how the community has supported us over the years. Giving back through premium workmanship is what we do best, and we look forward to continued relationships throughout 2022.
