The SBCA: A Community of Excellence
The Santa Barbara Contractors Association is a locally renowned organization that recognizes outstanding construction businesses across the Central Coast. Founded in 1948, its mission to promote integrity and high standards of quality has led to a tight-knit community of like-minded professionals with similar values.
Now representing over 2,100 individuals and 1,500 businesses in Santa Barbara, the SBCA continues to forge its legacy in a growing industry. To maintain its prestige, members must be qualified in a “background check,” which requires references and approval by a board of directors.
A Distinguished Recognition
Every fall, the SBCA hosts its annual “Construction Awards” to highlight exceptional local businesses in the industry. With one winner for each of the 12 categories, entries are judged anonymously based on quality, craftsmanship, and fit in the category - so the work is judged by the work itself.
This year, we were honored to win Outstanding Craftsmanship by a Subcontractor System/Structural Trades for our recent project, Ricon Ranch. And as if that wasn’t enough, we also won Subcontractor of the Year. Simply competing alongside incredible companies we admire is as humbling as it is a professional milestone.

It is a privilege to be recognized by SBCA for our work. We have the utmost respect for our clients and community of contractors, and it’s been a pleasure to work in Santa Barbara for over 15 years.
All this time later, we’ve learned a few things. Work hard, don’t give up, and believe in your team. But, the best lesson we’ve learned so far is this: at the end of the day, it’s not about business - it’s about serving our community.
